Obituary
Ashley Soulé Conroy, age 21, died on March 11, 2006, from a tragic accidental fall while studying abroad in India. Having attended St. Martin's Episcopal School in Metairie since pre-kindergarten, Ashley graduated in 2003. While there, she was an All-State and All-Metro Volleyball Star, co-captain of the Volleyball team, as well as the Homecoming Queen. She was presented at the Bienville Club in her senior year. Ashley, who was a junior at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina, was placed in the Distinguished Category for Faculty Honors and accepted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She also was employed part-time at Meritage, a restaurant in Charleston, where her co-workers were like a second family.

On Saturday, March 11, 2006, the Conroy family was notified that their daughter, Ashley Soulé Conroy, had died in a tragic fall in India at 4:00 a.m. March 12, 2006, India time. Ashley, a junior on the Dean's List at the College of Charleston, had been on a Junior Year Abroad program with Pacific Village Institute ("PVI"), an overseas study program with its international headquarters in New York City.
