Project Description
Eastern Europe
The trip was incredible! It absolutely changed my life. We did some traveling while there. I went to England (London & Stonehenge), Ireland (Galway: Connemara & Cliffs of Moher), France, Germany, Morocco, Belgium, and lots of cities in Spain. It was an incredible and once in a lifetime opportunity! I learned a lot about Spanish the language, and about the culture, the people, the lifestyle, the food, the houses/way of living, customs, everything. I really adapted well and loved living in that environment and culture. It was challenging but rewarding and fun. I feel like I have grown a lot as a person. I have seen more of the world and I learned a lot about a wide variety of subjects. I feel like I have more confidence now, I’m more cultured, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge in areas that were lacking before, I am more confident in my Spanish and am willing to walk up and talk to anyone. It has grown my hunger to continue traveling and visiting other cultures and countries around the world. It was one of the most intriguing six months of my life–meeting people from all over the world with all kinds of traditions, beliefs, customs, cultures, and languages and being able to learn about them and feel like I know a little about them now or at least have a desire to go learn more. Thank you so much for the aid you have given me to make this opportunity possible! It has meant so much and I am so grateful!
