Project Description

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Saying my semester abroad to Costa Rica was awesome would be an understatement; it was literally unreal. Not only did I get to experience a completely different culture, but I threw myself into a country that spoke a foreign language that I knew how to say about 3 words going into the trip, and came out being able to hold a full conversation with a native. Having this scholarship allowed me to be able to travel throughout the country each weekend experiencing the beautiful beaches on each coast, the rainforest, see volcanoes, and its diverse wildlife. I even took my passport to Bocas Del Toro Panama for a week! I was lucky to have an amazing host mother who should probably have her own cooking show because of the incredible food I got to eat each day. Moreover, I have expanded my friendships and have friends for life from all over the United States. Studying abroad is currently the greatest thing I have done in my life;I checked things off my bucket list, made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime, learned a new language and I am more than excited for my future travels around the globe! As they would say in Costa Rica; Pura Vida! Wish you nothing but the best, stay in touch and thank you for making my trip possible!
